In partnership with the Harold Greenspoon Foundation, the Jewish Federation provides books and CDs of Jewish content to families with children of ages 6 months to 8 years. If you are eligible and interested, please contact the Federation at 815-399-5497.
Camp Scholarships
Camperships provided by the Jewish Federation of Rockford are provided through monies raised through the Federation annual campaign. This money is generously donated by members of our Greater Rockford community. Each camper attending an overnight Jewish camp will receive a $300 scholarship.
Holocaust Speakers
The Jewish Federation provides speakers to local schools and organizations that are studying about the Holocaust.
Shalom Baby
Do you know of a new arrival in Rockford? Let us know and we will welcome them with a very special delivery. The family will receive a canvas bag filled with gifts and information.
Shalom College
The Federation wants to send our high school seniors off to college in style. Each student will receive a backpack filled with school supplies and information about Hillel, Birthright Israel, and Israel. Please let us know if you know of a high school senior.
Shalom Rockford
The Federation welcomes new families with a welcome visit and basket. Please let us know if you are new to town or you know someone who is new.
Shalom Senior Citizen
The Federation delivers baskets of food and gifts to seniors living in retirement facilities. Baskets are delivered at Passover, the High Holidays, and Chanukah time. Call us to get on the list.
Plant a Tree in Isreal
